Press Release

The Lebanon County Bar Association has finally acquired a place to call home.  Chartered since 1908, the Association has been functioning without a permanent office or administrative staff since its inception. The Bar Association opened its office doors February 1, and is located at 242 South Eighth Street, in the Sullivan, Sullivan and Snelling building.  The office is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M.   “Opening an office and obtaining support staff is a much needed step in forward progress for the Bar Association,” said  Loreen M. Burkett, President of the Bar Association.

The Bar Association is pleased to offer a variety of programs and legal services to the public. In addition to services and programs that are coordinated through committees and membership, the Bar cooperates with many other community organizations to help ensure that all citizens have equal access to justice.

The Lawyer Referral Program allows prospective clients an opportunity to have legal questions answered and, when appropriate, to be referred to an attorney for representation.

The  Speakers' Bureau provides free programs on law-related topics. Speakers are available for classroom presentations or for meetings held within Lebanon County. “The Bar has worked diligently in the past year to be able to provide these services to the community and be able to expand our community outreach,” according to Burkett. “I am hopeful the public will take advantage of the services the bar is able to provide that have not been available to Lebanon County residents in the past”.

To schedule a speaker, or to get more information, call Dena Woelfling, at the Lebanon County Bar Association.  You can call the Association at 717-273-3113, fax them at717-273-3211 or e-mail them at lebcobar@lmf.net.

Walk-ins are also welcome.
