LADY COLUMBIA FROM OLD COURTHOUSE TOWER
Columbia survives 1908 fire and collapse of courthouse spire   WEATHERED AND SCARRED FROM THE DISASTER OF 1908 - YET STILL AN ELEGANT SYMBOL OF JUSTICE AND LIBERTY
Sometimes known as Lady Columbia, Lady Liberty, Justice, or the Indian Princess, she is a symbol of our system of laws and justice. For decades she stood proudly atop the tower of the Lebanon County Courthouse. Although damaged by weather and the fire of 1908, she is now a treasured component of the collection of the historical society. (courtesy Lebanon County Historical Society)
